15th Amendment and Its Results Print

Description:

This chromo-lithograph shows a montage of positive results of the Fifteenth Amendment to the Constitution. It depicts the Fifteenth Amendment as having beneficial effects in increasing African-American opportunities for education, jobs, and political participation. The African-Americans in this print are portrayed as dignified and fully deserving of these opportunities to participate in the national life of the United States, in contrast to some contemporary stereotypes.
