Connecticut Reserve Map, 1826

Description:

This handcolored map shows the Western Reserve lands of Ohio in 1826, lands originally set aside for the state of Connecticut for veterans of the Revolutionary War. The map was engraved by Savory Pitt and published by William Sumner of Nelson, Ohio in Portage County. The map measures 44 x 57 cm.
