Programs Spotlight

The Ohio Historical Society: Once Upon a Dime Exhibit
JPMorgan Chase presents Once Upon A Dime: The World of Money at the Ohio Historical Center from September 1, 2007 through April 1, 2008. It’s a fun interactive exhibition for the entire family with special appeal to kids age 5-9. This exhibit starts thousands of years ago and takes you right up through today’s world of electronic finance. Digital Diva, a spunky, cartoon docent, guides you into the realm of electronic dollars. You’ll peek into a bank vault filled with all different kinds of "money," follow the story of money from barter to digital dollars, become an inspector and discover how governments around the world have developed anti-counterfeiting measures, and explore ways to spend, save, and invest your own hard-earned cash. You can’t afford to miss it!
Ohio History Day
History Day is an exciting co-curricular program that encourages young people to explore a historical subject related to an annual theme. Students make history come alive as their research leads to imaginative exhibits, original performances, media documentaries and papers in junior and senior divisions of seven different categories. History Day demonstrates that students learn history when they do history. State History Day is April 26, 2008 at Columbus State Community College
